The Classic Kong Dog Toy is by far the one dog product Koda or I can't live without.  After adopting Koda, it didn't take long to discover that she suffers separation anxiety and becomes destructive.  I tried taking her running in the mornings thinking that she would be worn out.  However I would come home from work to find various pieces of furniture destroyed - my sofa, a lamp shade, an oriental rug, and many accessories.

A dog trainer recommended trying a Kong toy.  The Kong Toy is a hard rubber toy that with a hollow inside.  The trainer said to fill it up with canned dog food or peanut butter and freezing it overnight.  It would keep Koda busy so she wouldn't seek out other things to destroy.  It really worked.

Whenever I leave the house, I give Koda a frozen Kong and she goes crazy for it.  I alternate between canned dog food and peanut butter so Miss Koda doesn't get bored with it.  The Kong Company even makes fillers for stuffiing Kong Toys, but I haven't tried any of those.  And they are easy to clean as you can throw them in the dishwasher.

The Kong costs about $15-20, but is worth it because it is practically indestructible.  I have several Kongs that are over a year old and are still in good condition.
