Breath Mint Dog Biscuits

A friend gave me this recipe for a dog treat that helps get rid of doggie breath. I changed it slightly and named it for one of my dogs.

Berry's Favorite Breath-Mint Biscuits

2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon charcoal (optional)
2 egg whites, lightly beaten
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup chopped parsley
1/3 tablespoons chopped fresh mint
2/3 cup skim milk

Preheat oven to 400 F. Combine flour, salt, and charcoal. In a medium bowl, combine egg, oil, parsley, and mint; mix well.

Slowly, stir in the flour mixture; then add enough milk to make a cookie dough consistency. Drop heaping tablespoons of dough about 1 inch apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake 15 minutes, or until firm and lightly browned.

Store cooled biscuits in a tightly covered container in the refrigerator.

Makes about 24 biscuits.
